A little something about me

I'm a photographer based in Slovenia, but available worldwide.

My first contact with a camera was when I was little and would spend a few days each year with my aunt and uncle. My uncle had this big camera and a collection of lenses, and he would sometimes let me take a few pictures. I was around 10 years old at the time and completely in awe of his work—photographing wild animals.

Later on, I was always intrigued by photography, but becoming a nurse seemed like the safer and more stable path. After years of study and work, I finally quit my job as a registered nurse in the emergency department at 27. Even though I loved being a nurse, I began to feel increasingly drained. To find myself again, I returned to what had inspired me as a child—photography and animals.

For me, photography is more than just capturing a pretty picture — it’s art, it’s connection, and it’s my way of seeing the world.

I’d say that’s why my work leans moody, earthy, and grounded — inspired by nature, western tones, and the beauty of imperfection. Whether I’m photographing people, horses, or the quiet moments in between, I aim to keep it real and true to who you are.

No studios. No forced smiles. Just your story, seen through my lens.

With love, Manca
